ive just noticed this

last week my computer was idle at 31degrees and load at 45degrees

now a week later with no decernable increase in room temp.....my cpu was idle at 40! its at 34 at the moment tho

it seem temps have gone up 3-5 degrees in one week, is the thermal stuff starting to dry up n become less effiecient? i used the grease that came with my zalman CNPS7000Cu and im using cool n quiet too.

also it seems, sandra and the ASUS pc probe are reporting the same temps jus the other way round!

Asus : CPU = 34 Mobo = 36
sandra : CPU = 36 Mobo = 34

why has this happned?

wiggle your heatsink. mbm5 is the best monitoring program imo, see what that says.

hehe its srewed on pretty tight....it a zalman so i know its a good cooler.....but when i touch it it never seems even luke warm, jus feels like copper would at room temp....is this a bad sign? i took it as it wasnt seen as it was cooling my a64 to a nice 30 degrees for the most part and sub 45 under load which is fine, i just dont want it gradually idling and loading at higher temps every week i wanna catch the problem now before it gets worse

MBM5 doesnt work with my ASUS K8NE-Deluxe...i dont think this mobo is on the supported list, but the KV8's are for some reason
