So I just moved into an apartment last week. Its got a nice little area carved out for a computer setup in the kitchen. So I've got my rig setup here, but the desk is a pain in the ass. From the angle Im sitting the edges of the desk aren't curved and they are hurting my wrists. I can't stand being on the computer for more than 10 minutes at a time.

Any suggestions on what I should use to pad these edges so I don't have this pain?

Haha, not a bad idea. I only have two mousepads though, I'd have to go out and buy a bunch more.

just go buy some kind of foam cushioning. probably can get it for pretty cheap.

I always have the mouspad overlapping my desk by about one and half inches to prevent this. Right now, though, I'm actually using a cardboard photo evelope from proex camera with the lip of it hanging over.

Even when raising my chair all the way I still have this problem. Not sure where I'd get foam or whatever at... I guess check like walmart or something?

You could get one of those mousepads/wrist rests with the gel stuff in them.

Just cut one of those gel wrist rests off of the plastic and screw it into the corner. VOILA! no more slit wrists ;)

Get some foam pipe insulation like you would use to winterize your outside pipes. Cut the tube down the side and slip over the edge of the desk.

I like the leather bracers idea, lol.

I got some bubble wrap thats really skinny and used packaging tape to cover the edges. Seems to be working pretty good so far. I wonder how my girlfriends going to react when she gets home and see's the entire desk lined with bubble wrap, lol.

I used a old cable/tv connection wire we wasn't using. I started by cutting the connector tips of then slit a long line down the middle with a sharp knife. Removed the wire and then wrapped it flat on a round cylinder for a while to flatten it out. Then used wire tape to make it stay on the edge =)

Benefits of using this method is its cheap/free, you can make it whatever size you want (I only put it on the wrist areas) and you can shape it with a sharp knife after its flattened so its less bulky and noticeable.
