Bought a 46D82 yesterday from futureshop and set it up and was really dissappointed in the picture the colours kept fluctuating too much red and no matter what you did it would just go back to the way it was giving it a very horrible pq, and a few dead pixels, there was also slight horizontal banding but nothing seen when there was a picture on the screen. Looked at a thread on avsforums and checked my serial number was 705**** so went back into futureshop and got them to exchange got a brand new 710 serial number..and my god what a difference out of the box the picture was absoultely beautiful and with some slight tweaking..perfect...NO banding whatsover with this set. I am very very happy with this purchase now much different then I was feeling yesterday.
Just thought I'd post this for anyone who may be looking into this tv to look at the serial numbers on it and at least try and get 708, 709, 710 or higher if it even has it..think 710 is the latest batch..they seemed to have fixed all problems with the tv in these later models
You can find the serial numbers either on the side of the box or on the back of the tv..
