the human rights list of shame in the middle east has both arafat and sharon near the top in recent times, they are joinded by saddam, and the late hafez al-assad as the serial worse offenders. the only difference i can see is syria and iraq were held together by strong men, whereas arafat was trying to reclaim land that sharon et al were refusing to give up.

I don't know about the chinese, but I've eaten in the place where he orders shwarma from on a regular basis.

You do have to be convicted of a crime to earn the title of criminal, that or be declared
criminally insane.

Too bad Sharon doesn't give that same right to trial, to people he orders to kill each and every day...
