Sharing Verizon PPPoE DSL Connection

I got three computers on a home network and Verizon DSL plugged into the uplink of my hub. Just wondering if there is any software out there I can use to share the connection. It's PPPoE connection using WinPoet, and it works logging on from each computer, but from what I understand that's illegal. All systems are running WinMe, but I couldn't get the built-in ICS to work. Any recommendations would be appreciated...Thanks.

well the easier route to fix your situation is to go with a router. You can get an SMC or Netgear router that has a 4-port switch built-in. This is what I just got finishing installing yesterday on my dsl connection. Works like a charm and even reconnects when you get disconnected.

I second the motion; you can get a Router for $80 to $100. Get a Router that support PPPOE (SMC, Linksys etc.)

After installing the Router with the ID, and Password, you can disable the PPPOE and you will get smoother better Internet. As far as I know there is nothing illegal about it, if something goes wrong you will have to revert back to the PPPOE since Verizon will not support the Router system (but that is really just a 2 min. process).

DSL (unlike Cable), you buy a bandwidth package, so the ISP doesn?t care how many computer use it since your combine bandwidth will not exceed the package that you bought. If you have 600MB/sec, and three computer surf at the same time each one will work at 200Mb/sec.
