Trying to setup 2 PC's for someone, that will share the same USB DSL Modem.
have done this quite a few times with the Cat5 setups, but never with USB.
just wanting some basic setups of how to get it going.
heres the specs:
SpeedTouch USB DSL Modem
PC1 running Win98SE
With NIC
PC2 Running Win98SE
With NIC
Also have a 50' Cat5 Cross-Over Cable (If i can use the NIC's to share the connections)
Was wanting to know the best way to get these 2 systems networked together with same DSL Modem.
one of them will be used as the server since i won't be using a Router on this setup.
Maybe a Hub at the most.
also, will this USB version Modem networked, work as well as an Ethernet setup?
If anyone can give me an idea of what i will need to set it all up,or some sort of link on it,i would appreciate the help.
