Sharing USB ADSL with wireless network (no AP)?

Hello all. Arrived for a long vacation (2 months) at my parents and his DSL is through a USB adaptor. Sucks. I am a lowly project manager and not well versed in network affairs. I would like to share this internet connection over a wireless connection with my laptop.

At this moment, the computer connected to the internet has:
- USB DSL connection to the internet
- Network adaptor
- PCI Wireless network adaptor

My intention is to connect my laptop, through wireless, to this computer, so I can get an internet connection through the DSL line while my father can use his computer.

Conceptually I thought Internet Connection Sharing was intended for it. Both wireless connections are configured Ad Hoc and they connect to each other. On my father´s pc, I go to the USB connection (which is set up as a dial up adaptor... sig...) and in advanced options I select ´allow users of other network to connect to internet through this computer´ BUT in the combo where I can choose which is the local network, I only see the LAN network (the wired network card he used to have). I dont see the wireless adaptor I just installed.

I tried removing the network adaptor and it still doesnt work. In the ICS section in the USB DSL dial up properties I now do not see any adaptor, and I have all options checked.

What gives? Can this scenario I desire be made to work? How so? Do I need to change anything in the laptop I am trying to get to connect through the wireless link?

Thanks all,

ps. USB modem has no ethernet connection, and this describes more or less what I am doing... simple... shouldnt it work?
