Sharing SBC DSL Using Wireless Transmitter

I'm guessing that SBC provide a FREE ADSL modem for each new customer ($14.95 deal). If I want to connect two or more PCs to this DSL line, then do I need to purchase a wireless router and PCI receiver card for each PC? What are your recommendations?

Any tips with the setup of the wireless connections?

TIA

Thanks.

Anyone having problem using the D-Link DI-524 with the SBC modem? What about the D-Link DI-624. Any special steps that I must take to get thing purring? I read posts about the random disconnects with the DI-524. Not sure if this is caused by an old firmware.

The router will be use to distribute internet among 3 PCs.

TIA

I just got SBC DSL. They sent me a 2Wire Home Portal 1800HG which was $50 after a $100 credit. I also received a 2Wire wireless adapter which was $55.

I'm not familiar with those products. Are you saying that the SBC router is $50? What is the 2Wire wireless adapter? Is this the PCI receiver for $55?

The 2Wire router is $150 with a $100 credit.

The adapter is installed on your other computers (if you want that) and costs $55. It's USB so you don't have to go inside your computer.

Please bear in mind that this is what I got. I don't know if all SBC customers get the same.

Another thing, SBC tells me that when my year is up it will cost $50 per month.
