I have a DSL connection and both computers are wired into the back of the modem/router. I want to share my inkjet printer so both computer can print from it. I went through the setup on the computer the printer is connected to and it is shared. the hand is on the printer. i saw then went to the other computer and did the setup and could see the printer. however, printing didn't work. so i deleted it from the 2nd coputer to try again and now the shared printer will not appear on the 2nd computer. how can i solve this?

Thanks

Normally, the proper way is to goto the computer that doesn't have the printer connected to it, do ADD PRINTER, then pick NETWORK printer. Then browse to the computer where the printer is plugged in and shared and let it do its thing.

Manually type the computer and name of printer then. (Hint it helps to rename the printer to something nice on the shared tab on the computer where its plugged in).

Like it might be:
\\mycomputerwithprinter\hp 1220 laserjet
If that doesn't work try the IP of your other computer instead of the name.
