Sharing Music Files with a Group

HI,

I wanted to start a little music sharing with about 8 friends and wanted to know if anyone had suggestions for programs/software. What I am looking for is something that has probably 1-2 gbs of space and everyone in our group can log onto easily and upload/download albums and obviously would like to have fast trasfer rates. Even something were we would have to pay to use would be fine if it is fast and easy to use.

A friend mentioned FTP might be way to go, does that sound right. Plus is there an easy on to use, never done ftp before.
