Sharing mailbox in exchange/windows 03 environment

Normally to share a mailbox you just create a user, then log in with that user, go in outlook and set the permissions for each user. The issue with that is you need to do every single folder individually.

Is there a way to do this by using a security group?

I tried to go in AD and exchanged advanced and the option is there to add users/groups, but this did not work. It works if I add a user, but not if I add a group (and put that user in the group too obviously).

Also, if I check the box to hide in the GAL, it cannot be added in outlook.
