Sharing keyboard/mice with 2 PC's ? ::::

Was wondering is there anyway to share a mouse/keyboard with two PCs?

The monitor will be LCD and has a switch to do the Digital/Analog switching.

I want to get a KVM switch, but that's too much $$$, considering i'm not going to use the video switch. All I need is a keyboard/mouse switch, is that in existence? or is there any other method of sharing?

Thanks 😛

Yes there are mechanical switches for the mouse and keyboard (usually have video also, but mechanical for video is no good).

Video switching jocks the price up, so I'm hoping there's a product that doesn't have that, or some other method of switching?

It kind of looks like other I have used (in the old days before electrical KVM switches). It worked fine (except for the video which degraded in quality) with the keyboard and mouse responding reasonably (did not use it for games -- which would have brought about difference). Is a little tricky setting it up -- Turn switch to 'A' then boot computer 'A', then turn to computer 'B' and boot computer 'B' once they are both running can switch back and forth. Just remember when you boot a machine the switch shuld be set to that machine (let it know that there is a mouse/keyboard connected to it).
