Sharing Internet connection question.

Hi!

I have two computers and an ISDN modem on one of them. Right now I'm using the Internet sharing program in Windows 98SE, but I'm very irritated of unwanted dial-ups to the Internet, like when ICQ is running etc. I know WinGate is a good program for sharing connections and you can also use a hardware ISDN router but that is too expensive for me. Is there any program where you can confirm on the client machine by pushing a command button, that you wish access to the Internet and also when you wish to cancel it?
Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated 🙂

WinRoute is very good imho. I think you can configure to auto-connect or connect with a push on the machine that had direct access to the net. I donno about a client activiation though (unless you were to use pcanywhere or some variation.
