hey.. have setup a LAN network by connecting my 2 computers ( a laptop and a desktop ) via a netgear router... they both have win xphome! i was wondering, how would i share my desktops harddrive so that i could view it on my laptop coz coz i dont see my desktop hard drive in my laptops MY COMPUTER WINDOW and vice versa..

thanks

If you have already shared the drives (right click on the drive in My Computer or Windows Explorer and select Sharing then give it a name), you'll need to disable the Windows XP firewall or create a trusted zone to allow the computers to share resources with each other.

well i did that and now im trying to access my desktops harddrive but the following is the error message im getting :

COMPAQ(C🙂 is not accessible. You might not have the permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions.

Not enough server storage is available to process this command"

any ideas?
