Sharing folders in Vista without prompting for UN and PW?

Computer sharing the files/folders is using vista while the computer trying to access the share is xp pro. I've tried everything I could think of: adding Everybody, Users, Guests to permissions and ntfs security, enabled Guest account, checked firewall to allow file sharing, and making sure both computers are on the same workgroup. Still saying I don't have access when trying to access the share. Shares on the xp machine can be accessed by the vista machine as well as all other computers on the network without needing credentials. What am I missing?

On the Vista machine ... Network sharing center
Network Discovery - On
File Sharing - ON
Password Protected sharing - OFF
