I dual-boot Win XP and Linux from the same hard drive.

the Windows partition is NTFS, though, which Linux can't read. is there any way to share files between the OS's? I was thinking of adding a new drive (no OS, just content), but how would it need to be formatted for both Windows and Linux to be able to read/write it (or just read, if write is impossible)?

If you use Fedora, you will have to install an RPM to get read support for NTFS. The RPM can be found HERE.

The site also has pretty thorough instructions HERE.
