sharing dsl thru 1 static ip

hi everyone, i have static ip address, a switch, 2 pci cards in the host and one in the client, using win me to share dsl, but it doesnt seem to work, my question is what r u suppose to set the client's ip, subnet mask, gateway, dns at?
