When I try to play mp3s over network. It works pretty good but they cut out once or twice per song for a
few seconds.

Anyone know what causes this? Is ther anyway to avoid it?

TIA

They're probably rebuffering. If that's the case then your network just isn't fast enough.

Which would be kinda sad since we're only talking about 320kbps at most! :p

I run "videos" across other computers on my homenetwork and I have no problems viewing it on other pc's.

Music runs fine as well :)

The systems are on a router.

if you are on wireless - dont complain - get used to it.

Yea that must be my problem then. I'm on a wireless MR814 802.11b router.

boxes I have hooked up are anywhere from 533mhz - 2ghz+.

It also probably doesn't help that the signal strength is alway LOW from my router. Router is upstairs and
1 comp. is downstairs. I never lose connection while surfing but it always says my signal is low.

Yeah that isn't good. I have a hybrid wireless/wired network. I can stream video to two clients at once no problem so you can imagine audio is the same for me. Ever thought of getting a wireless repeater?
