I am trying to access the user files under Documents and Settings on a mounted network drive. I keep getting an ACCESS DENIED error.

I have the drive shared on the host computer, and it is mounted on the 2nd computer. I am trying to access the My Documents folder for one of the users but when I try to navigate to the folder I am told that the folder is unaccessable.

The root of the drive is shared, and i even went so far as to share every folder up to and including the my documents folder and still no luck.

Is this some kind of windows security feature that is not bypass-able? or am I doing something wrong?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

There are two set of permissions you need to deal with, the permissions on the share itself (which control who can access the share and what they can do) and then the underlying NTFS permissions. The share permissions DO NOT 'win' over the NTFS permissions. You'll need to add permissions to the files/folders you want to access as they are (most likley) curently set to just the account your trying to navigate down into.
