Please I need help with setting up Internet access share. One of my computers is already connected to the Internet via DOCSIS cable modem. I had to supply MAC address to Media one. I have D-Link DI-704 Router with 4 ports. It is capable of cloning MAC address. Connected computer is set to use DHCP. I used winipcfg to get my comp IP address, gateway and DHCP server address plus 2 DNS server addresses info when connected to mediaone. The original router address was 192.168.0.1 the assigned address from mediaone DHCP server to my computer is 24.165.159.xxx. As soon as I connect computer to router and then cable modem I lose connectivity. I have tried to reconfigure my router to the address assigned to my computer but got nowhere. Please, if anyone has an answer, suggestion or link to a page with good setup procedure I would greatly appreciate your help. I use crossover cable from router to modem.

the netgear rt314 can clone mac addresses, just call the bastards that you had to give the mac address to, tell them you bought a new network card, and give them the WAN mac of the router :)
