I was wondering if someone can help me out here. I have a folder that needs to be shared on a desktop and a laptop. I work on the files during the day and if I want to bring them home at night I would like to sync it to a folder on my laptop. Well, I made a share on the desktop and imported the files. I mapped a network drive from the laptop to the shared folder. (I should note here that this is a workgroup and not a server environment) I connect to the folder no problem but the files open as read only. The name that I connect under has full control. I even tried to uncheck the read only but that does not work and when I close it and re open it the read only tick is back. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for your help.
