Sharing a removable drive

I've got a SATA drive bay, and various drives to go with it. I know that Windows is able to tell the difference between the drives, as it assigns different letters to each unique drive. Problem is, if I have a share on one drive, removing the drive deletes the share, so when I put the drive in later, the share needs to be recreated. Is there any way to make this share persistent?

Not sure if it would work, but could you try Mapping the drive in Disk Management?

As far as I know there is no way to do what you ask, short of never removing the drive. When you remove the drive it deletes any sharing information that was associated with the drive.

Perhaps write a dos script that contains all the share info that you can run after reinstalling the drive.
