Question Sharing a quickbooks file via network

Not sure if this is best place to post this but trying to help someone share a quickooks file over the network. The issue is not with accessing the shared file but more with being able to have quickbooks open at same time on 2 computers when the file is shared.

I have the file shared on desktop A, have password protected sharing setup, can access it no problem, have full permissions. But when that file is shared, quickbooks can't be open on 2 computers at same time, have to close it out on one. When the file is not shared, not a problem opening up quickbooks at same time. On the computer hosting the file, I setup multi user mode but think that is just for multiple users on same computer.

Not sure if this has to do with the issue. But when I went to share the folder, when I went to sharing and share this folder, it wouldn't share it that way, said folder can't be shared. I had to go to advanced sharing and share it that way.
