Sharing a Folder over the net

I want to share a folder over the net so my firends can download files from there..
I wonder if you guys can give me what options i have..?

It is done very similar to the way you share File over you Network.

However security wise it is very dangerous affair.

You are much better off installing a Simple FTP or HTTP server on one of your computers and put the files there, or if it is here and there one shot sessions use a Remote Control/Transfer Program like VNC.

And Best of All, these programs are Free.

Use small FTP server and limit connections by IP address(s) and password. Only run the server active when needed.
