Sharing a centralized modem(s) on a LAN, possible?

We have several products out in the field that require us to dial into for upgrading, troubleshooting, etc. A lot of our support staff do not have modems in their machines, and I'm wondering if there is a centralized modem/device available that we could setup on our LAN that everyone on our network could use to dial out, into these products out in the field?

Anyone have a similar setup?

I assume you mean Dial into a serial/console port?

I would setup a linux box, with an external modem, and the Ser2Net program
