Sharing a 4G USB modem connection?

So my parents live in the sticks, and rather than dealing with satellite internet, they use Verizon 4G LTE service (I think.) They have a little USB stick that I suppose is a cellular modem of some sort, they plug in into their PC, start a dialer program, and a few moments later they have a connection to the internet. No land line involved.

Now, my mom has a laptop for work that she sometimes brings home. She told me that she just installed the dialer program on it and manually moves the USB modem over to it when she wants to work on the laptop.

What I'd like to do it get them a WiFi router so that they can share their internet on that laptop, their cell phones, and their new tablet (that they only use on public wifi when they go into town.)

I have no experience with this device, but I was looking for a dead-simple solution. Maybe a router with USB that would autodial the modem when a connection is requested? Or keep it up? I wasn't wanting to worry about setting up the PC as a host/bridge/etc, unless that is the only solution.

Anyone have any insight into this?

Hmmm, ICS (Internet Connection Sharing) comes to mind. If there is a desktop and a WIFI adapter you could share both the cell adapter and the WIFI adapter and have a router of sorts.

I seen at Virgin Mobile they sell a specific router-like device for this very thing. Perhaps their cell provider has this. What is their cell provider?
