This is a private forum, free speech does not exist here.

There are a handful of people that everyone knows contribute nothing to this place. I'm even willing to bet that if asked, most reasonable people, regardless of political affiliation, would identify many of the same people.

I cannot think of a good argument as to why deliberately disruptive people such as these should not be banned. I also think that this action needs to happen more swiftly. How long was Cybrsage allowed to hang around here?

Actually I'm for well rounded punishment. If it is deemed by mods that Incorruptible's post is trolling then he should face the consequences and so should anyone else who crosses that line no matter the pecking order.

I think in the end we want the same thing. The question is how do we get there?

The bottom line is this: Incorruptible and his endlessly bigoted threads represent a pollutant to this forum. To me, the logical consequence of that would be to ban him, but the mods are disinclined to do that, hence my own actions in pointing out that he is trolling, when he is. If he could/would stop, I would welcome him into this forum with open arms and engage him in real discussion, but that assumes a scenario that will never occur.

As for "how we get there," I'm not sure we can, since the forum seems to be virtually free of moderation these days. This place has become a bastion of open racism, blatant trolling, and threatened violence without consequence.

I don't think you know what "free speech" means. Nobody is calling for government intervention. All we are calling for is moderation that makes this a place where real discussion can occur.

That is not on topic, but it is much more relevant the the truth of our condition that any issues in the original thread, in my opinion. So while you are off thread topic, in my opinion, you come closer to the real topic than most, also in my opinion. This thread crapping thingi is totally subjective and herd driven, I think. Some folk are very narrow minded and literal and others see holistic truths invisible to some. At a minimum, folk should be allowed to state their envisioned relevancy if challenged, using reason, of course.

On topic, I didn't see anything on the video that was questionable except for radicals running rampant. The video wasn't long enough to draw any conclusions on whether or not this is systemic.

Whether or not the PC movement is letting these radicals run wild, this video unfortunately doesn't prove anything.

Muslims are Europe's mexicans, what do you expect ? Many parts of the south west would have you wondering if you were in Mexico, especially in large cities like LA. With europe its the same except the Muslims will look at you as though you are evil if you own a dog and they enjoy oppressing their women [and sharia law is another difference].

It is absolutely true that there are certain extremist sects of Islam, particularly in Europe, that are intent on enforcing sharia law in the West... and I'm somebody who has very liberal opinions in regard to foreign policy.

Mention of this being so abhorrent to some posters on this forum is a bit strange. I suspect it is because the situation with Islam, jihad, and the middle east is not at all black and white. Yes, you have the overly appeasing left on one side and the Islamophobes on the right, but the truth is that both sides are right about certain things - the left is correct that our foreign policy radicalizes the middle east and that not all Muslims are evil, while the right correctly perceives that there is a contingent of crazy extremists in Islam.
