My friend has 3 comps setup to this sprint broadband connection, all of the comps had the internet until he took one to a LAN, now that comp will not work with the home network. Even after reformatting and a new nic. The modem is connected to the uplink and then the others to port2, 3, and 6.
"ipconfig /release" will not release the current ip which is not anywhere near being correct. We tried setting the ip ourself but it didn't even recognize it. We are using Win XP Pro and tried a dlink and a linksys. The other computers are using Win XP Pro and Win 98 both with the same dlink nic. Any input on what's wrong? thanks
