I have an MSI K7T PRO2-A mobo. The last slot is shared (pci/isa). How do I use it? Do I need to buy an ISA slot from somewhere? I have an old nic I want to use in it.

Thanks

??? Buy an ISA slot? I was not aware that this was possible.

Anyway the K7T PRO2-A does not ship with an ISA slot, only the 6 PCI slots and a CNR (which will be useless to you). The shared pci/isa may be a misprint in the manual or spec.

It's in the manual with pics all over the place. Also, when I looked at the mobo, there was actually little holes where the ISA slot would go.

If the ISA slot is present

You can put either a PCI or an ISA card in that slot (not room for both)

If the ISA slot is NOT present

It's a PCI slot, no ISA is available.

Ah. I'll just order myself a PCI Netgear NIC then. They are only $15 anyway.

Thanks.
