My work has three admin assistants, and three department directors. We've been having a problem lately with vacations the admin's have been/are taking, and need a shared calendar to tell everyone when they're gone so when the time comes, we aren't left wondering where the hell that person is.

We're all on macs--I suggested Googledocs. Any ideas? This is totally getting out of hand!

Google calendar?

You can make one generic account and anyone can log in and update it.

Google calendar. As suggested, you can have a common login. Another option is for each person to share their calendar with each other. It works great, and works on any platform at home/work/blackberry.

i assume you're using MS Exchange as the mail server..

just set up a shared mailbox on exchange.. your admins can do this... then use the calendar in the mailbox.

yes.. even mac's can use MS Office, .. Entourage is nearly identical to Outlook.

You have Exchange just ask the Exchange Admin to have access rights for the users' folders you need. Even if you have to use OWA.

Macs in the office? ewww

why's everyone assume she has exchange at work? likely they have nothing given this problem...

google apps for your domain. everyone gets an account. share calendars w/ each other. or, same thing, just everyone get a normal google account/gmail account.

I think you can make a Google Calendar and invite everyone then grant them full access. I think then people can make updates to the account via their own email accounts and not have to login and logout
