Pure performance. No music, no dramatic sound fx, just plain dialogue.

Little background: Leo and Kate have been sick of suburban life and wanted to move to Paris. But that plan foils when Kate becomes pregnant. They have neighbors over and their ill son accurately press all the buttons.

Also so many great intense scenes in Ingourious Basterds.

That opening scene with the French farmer and Col Landa was incredible and one of the first that came to mind when reading the topic to this thread.

That was really good, but I think that they drew it out a little too long. (ADD retard here)

Yep, that scene and the bar scene I can watch over and over and over. Amazing.

You're not alone, the whole movie was drawn out. I still liked it a lot, but had some really unnecessary shit in it like when Soshana(?) sees the pretty French interpreter with Goebbels and then they cut to an image in her head of her being rammed by him for a good 5 seconds, like WTF Quint?

That bar scene was indeed amazing.

"Looks like Wilhelm will grow up without a father afterall."

"They say there's a special place in hell for people who waste good scotch."

Great lines.

It was an abortion, Michael! An abortion! It was a boy; a son, Michael, a son, and I had it killed!

Because I would not bring another one of your evil children into this world!

That, then most anything from Raging Bull.
