If you have the time always bake frozen dinners in an oven.
Microwave makes them taste like crap :)

Tony Chachere's

Goes into everything that touches my stove, oven, and pit and most things that go in the nuker.

step 1: buy take-out from a catering place
step 2: transfer the food that they cooked into your own containers
step 3: claim it's your own

big success!

Cheap cuts of meat are generally lean, so to infuse them with flavor cut them small and cook them slowly in flavored sauces.

Pork loin, turkey, and chicken come to mind.

Spices are your friend. You can make even the plainest ingredients taste great if you pay attention to seasoning.

Cheap cuts of meat can be wonderful if they're cooked well.

The internet is full of recipes. Search a little and you'll find a million ways to prepare chicken that you never would have thought of on your own.

Butter. Not margarine, not canola-corn-safflower oil, not Crisco, just butter.

If you do a lot of baking, save yourself the trouble and just buy a stand mixer first. Prefferably one of those Kitchenaid models that can double as a boat anchor :p

/loves his new kitchenaid
