I'm having a problem with the icon for a share not showing up on the My Network Places on my media server PC or on other computers networked to it who have permission to access the media server. It used to show up in My Network Places but now it doesn't. The share with the problem is on one of four 2 TB Hitachi Coolspin 5400 rpm hard drives in a Sans Digital TR4u external case connected by USB 2 to the media server.

Each drive has a folder on it containing DVD rips that I'm sharing called Television (share name ISO_TV_1), Television 2 (sharename ISO_TV_2), Movies (sharename ISO_MOVIES_1) and Movies 2 (share name ISO_MOVIES_2). The share with the problem is ISO_TV_2. I can see the other shares just fine. I can access the drive and the folder being shared by going directly to it and can see the hand icon showing that the folder Television 2 (ISO_TV_2) is shared.

I checked that the permissions for the user accounts I want to have access to the shares are set properly. I can even access the share from another computer via the command line using UNC paths. I'm using UNC paths on the other computer because my DVR program SageTV runs in Service mode and Service mode doesn't support drive mapping.

Both the Media server and the other computer have an user account with the same username and password in order to access the share. This has happened once before and I fixed it by restoring the media server from a disk image I had made when I first setup the server shares and permissions. I tried that again but it hasn't worked this time. My media server is a ECS 848P motherboard with a 2.6 Ghz P4, 1.5 GB of memory running Windows XP Pro SP2.
