Share Folders between XP MCE and OSX?

Hey guys...so I put together a new MCE system and I cant for the life of me get file sharing between it and my macbook. Printer sharing works just fine, but file/folder sharing is a no-no. What the heck? If I share a folder on my macbook, even when I browse the computer from XP I dont see any folders that are shared. And my macbook cant even connect to my PC though it sees it on the network. Can anyone help me?!

Now how about sharing between MCE and XP Pro? It asks for a password/user but I havent set anything on my PRO system...or my MCE system for that matter...and when I try to connect to the PC from my laptop it doesnt work! AGH! At least I could move files from my apple to my MCE system by connecting this way. Ohhhhhhh well.
