I have been running Win2k for about a week now. I have noticed that when I connect to the internet it seems faster than Win98. There is a different connection interface on the task bar which indicates to me that internet enhancements have been added. Anyone know the details on this? My 56k USR connected at 28.8 in Win 98 due to the f$%#ing phone company adding a second line on top of my first one. This cut my bandwidth in half and they won't fix it. Anyway,in W2k the connection continues to show 28.8 but it is seems much faster and snapier. Anyone else notice a speed increase?

Win2K is noticably faster when it comes to net connections.... my friends DSL almost doubled in speed... as for my 56K I noticed a SLIGHT difference.... but its 56K so I dont expect a huge increase :)

As stated by Tonec - MS tweaked the TCP/IP stack and it is better optimized for Internet browsing right out of the box.

Anyone know if you can somehow use the new TCP/IP stack with Win98? Possibly by download.
