Kinda nuts this kind of stuff becomes public. Not stopping me from looking at it though. :D Check this out: Shaq's financial statement Look at his monthly expenses.

His statement says he makes $1,325,327 net a month and has expenses of $875,015, leaving a surplus of $450,312. Still a ton of money left over a month, but damn he spends $875,015 a month!

$1495 a month for cable tv?
$24,300 a month for gas and oil? Where is he driving that he has to spend $24,000 a month???
$17,220 a month on clothes
$60,417 a month on gifts

On top of that there is $37,936 out to various creditors. I guess these guys don't just pay cash for everything.

Nope. They still use other people's money. Vick had various loans out outstanding when he was busted (one of them was for an upscale wine-tasting restaurant he just started in Atlanta). They're after him for a couple of million.

even though it says monthly, it could be the annual

so 1495/12 = $125 per month for cable

No, it clearly says Monthly expense on the statement. I'm guessing that he's got multiple homes.

What I found funny was that his monthly eating out expense was $500. I guess either the Heat pays for most of his meals or he gets alot of free meals when he goes out.

Yea I saw him on some show one time, he has a personal chef that cooks for him, so his eating out expenses are low. If you're that well known you don't eat out much anyway, because you get hassled.

Personally I don't care what the guy spends, it's his money and he seems to have a lot left over, but damn $24,300 a month on fuel??? Is he taking monthly trips to the moon? I'm sure he pays for his entourage, but $24,300 a month?

That is absurd, it's roughly $800 a day on gas...wtf. That just doesn't even make sense. But, we are forgetting that he may take private jets/etc to places, which in that case he is going to be paying for the fuel of the airplane. But I assume during the basketball season he is travelling on the team jet...

He makes 1.3 million a month approximately...which is about 700,000 less than 2 million. He spends close to 900,000 a month. Where did you get 25%?

The income seems off to me though. All I see is what he makes from the Heat and some side businesses, where is his endorsement income? I'm sure he makes a ton on endorsements.

$15 million extra a year. Another 1.25 million a month.

I wonder why that's not on that financial statement?

So I guess with everything he's putting away around $1.6 million a month. Phew. Still makes me wonder about the $875,000 a month in expenses. That's crazy.

$110k on "vacations" and $180k on management/accounting/whatever makes up a big chunk.

now that I look closer at this statement. I think its bogus. There is nothing in there about royalties from his movies, music, endorsement deals....

I think you guys are forgetting he has multiple homes and probably pays for multiple people - his family phones, their bills, etc. which might total to the expected amount.

Its safe to assume they all have digital cable with the NBA League Pass
