Seriously, I can understand Shaq retiring next year or so. He has had a long ride and each game just brings the chance of a crippling injury to the rest of his life.

However, I think it's funny he talks about being 'educated' so he has things like law enforcement to fall back on.

He could live off his interest for life. I doubt any career as a police officer over the course of a year could come close to his earning potential in a month just on doing a talk circuit.

Wasn't he stripped of his position as Deputy for some shenanigans?

He could always make Kazaam 2

like you said, he could live off of interest, doing something else wouldn't have to be about money, but about having a purpose

Yeah, that General Studies degree from LSU will really pay dividends for him after the NBA.

First, he was stripped of his badge, I'm sure he's still interested in law enforcement though.

Second, there were reports that he has reconciled with his wife.

If he lives within his means, he should have plenty of money left. But celebrities and athletes aren't known to be thrifty people.

eh? I'd think Shaq still have a few more seasons left in him, at least 4 more, considering his position at center revolves more about him utilizing his size rather than his athleticism.

kthxbye!

Exactly. So if you're posting about something news related put a link to said article in your post. Understand?

Unless you think we're not actually interested in the story, but rather what you have to say about it. Trust me, this isn't the case.

There was not much more to the article than I posted. I didn't have a 'link' at the time because not all my 'news' comes from fucking online sources.

I usually do include a link/source when the news is more sensational to provide background and proof.

How about starting some threads yourself? Have you ever?

So Shaq is going to retire, and be lazy, get fat and....oh wait.....

oh yeah you could have been NBA material.
And that's a relevant statement, why?

It's really a moronic and childish statement, to be honest.

Kid 1: "Did you see that game last night?"

Kid 2: "Yeah, but Shaq sucked"

Kid 1 "Oh yeah, but he could kick YOUR ass".

Big fucking deal.

And quite honestly, Shaq is nothing but BIG. If he was 6'8", he wouldn't even have gotten an offer to play college ball with his skills.

Hell, if I could somehow grow to his size, I'd be far better than him. I can actually shoot from farther than 5 feet from the basket, and even make foul shots.

If the idiot doesn't change his spending habits, this is completely true.

Remember his divorce papers? Good God, it's amazing that anyone spends as much as he does.

edit: Honestly, Michael Jordan isn't much better....he's just so damn rich that it's almost impossible for him to spend money faster than he makes it.
