Shank on Steam, HOLY CRAP!

Came out this week on Steam, my friend bought it. It's a side scrolling beat em up that's violent as shit, awesome cartoony cell shade like graphics. It's kind of like Metal Gear Slug but about 5 times faster with sword type mele weapons tons of guns and all sorts of combos. MGS on Steroids I guess, It's $15 so it's probably pretty short, and the stories basically "get the dude who took your chick" But it's so fucking fun, I played it with an Xbox controller and the controls were smooth as hell. The more I play the better I get with the combos, nothing like grabbing a baddie, shoving a grenade down his throat and kicking him back to watch him blow up. The pace is almost too fast paced, everything's over the top. It supports Co-Op but we haven't tried that yet. If it works well this will be a uber bad ass co-op game. Dunno about it's replay value but shit it's a blast from the past with larger than life boss battles that are missing from games now-a-days. I love the artwork and pretty much everything about it so far. I'm a few levels into it only. Maybe it'll go on sale soon, but it seems like a lot of fun for $15 if you grew up in the 80-90's and remember hack and slash side scrollers.

Played through it on the PS3, it's pretty cool, repetitive, about an hour from the end I was wishing I was at the end.

Still, good game.

I played through the demo until the boss. Got the boss down to half, lost interest. Seems entertaining, but on the same level as Bejeweled or something

got it with the deathspank game. played a little. played to finish the first boss battle which was hard. even some of the bigger regular enemies are hard.

I read through the moves section and I apparently can't figure out how to most of them.

tried the demo. wasn't too bad. big combos are always fun. definitely would have been better with a controller. so far the story and cutscenes are pretty horrible. the boss fight wasn't that great. it felt scripted.
