So, Panda got a Facebook video produced about her. You can watch it here:

OP:

**cue up ASPCA music**

To everyone else - if you don't already know this, my wife and I run a corgi rescue; our niche is special needs corgis. We moved to a new facility, but the facility is basically a blank canvas now. We need funds to do the things we want to do (obedience course, agility course, other crap), in addition to paying all the other bills.

With Black Friday around the corner, you can help us out AT ZERO COST TO YOU by selecting us as your Amazon Smile charity. You pay the same prices that Amazon normally charges, and we get .5% of gross. Here is the direct link:

SELECT US AS YOUR AMAZON SMILE CHARITY! With Black Friday right around the corner, now is the perfect time to show your support! https://smile.amazon.com/ch/47-1553809

Your assistance goes towards dogs like Panda (double amputee rescued from a backyard breeder) and Rotti (IVDD + cancer). Nobody takes a salary here.

My member of the East Texas Corgi Nation doesn't do amazon, but wants to know how to donate directly.

Good to know. I'll keep it in mind while shopping. Also passed it along to some coworkers who love corgis

Bump for a life.

I had to put my Boxer down today. Tumors on her heart and spleen and it seems the spleen was bleeding into her belly and swelled it up. It was a good 11 years. Best $450 from a tax refund I've ever spent, my next Boxer will be from a rescue.

Yeah the end is always rough :( we're approaching the 1 year anniversary of one our dogs dying and another one is towards the end of his 1-4 month prognosis...

Mine beat the Vet estimate, she was given 2 weeks to 3 months. That was back in mid-May, it was thought that one of the tumors would just make it a sudden death. Guess she was stubborn about that too, just like with her food, picky eater. She could go a stretch of eating a certain brand then go, nope no more. Skipping a day, then after that just eating one meal a day, until it was changed.

This still active? I just realized I've never signed up for Amazon Smile. Going back to freelance IT work = buy ALL the parts from Amazon!

Sure is, we're up to ~500/quarter in donations via AmazonSmile! Currently have 15-20 dogs in the rescue, 4 coming in this month, 2 adopted out last month.

If anyone is in SoCal this weekend we'll be at SoCal Corgi Beach Day.

Most of my IT buddies who don't own cats have corgis. Also, Cowboy Bebop. Count me in!

Good luck. Anything going to dog rescues is a huge plus in my opinion.

My Amazon Smile is set to donate to a Holistic Moms Network my sister works for, otherwise I'd subscribe.

Don't know how I missed this one! Will sign up!

Also I totally forgot corgi beach day is this weekend. Is it at Rosie's or down in Huntington? I'm looking at an apartment in Huntington on Saturday afternoon and might need to bring my little fluffer with me

Spring / Fall = Huntington Beach
Summer = Long Beach

They're no longer at Rosie's either - outgrew the location so city booted them to a different beach this year.

I just signed up. I wish I knew about this earlier. I don't buy much from Amazon anymore but it's the least I can do.
