This is pretty much the shadiest ebay dealing i've ever seen. This seller is selling 30 sony P800 (retail $599) and 30 nokia 8910 (retail $499) in one auctoin. The price now is $11,000 with 6+ hours to go.

Shady Fact #1:

High bidder is a new customer with 0 feedback (his own account probably)

Shady Fact #2:

all of this guy's feedbacks are for items <$5, all 788 of them

Shady Fact #3

He just changed his user ID

Shady Fact #4

He ONLY accepts cashier's check or money order

Shady Fact #1 + Shady Fact #2 + Shady Fact #3 + Shady Fact #4 = If there is a real winner, and they're stupid enough to pay without investigating, they'll be out at least 15 Grand!

He has 788 positives/100% positive feedback. He has to be a troll.

Odd, the $15,099 bidder has only won 13 other auctions... almost all from consumerdepot (with negatives about1/16 of the time. All the rest of the high bidders purchases were for prada branded apparel items. That auction looks shady from every angle I've looked at it.... the buyers as well as the seller (has he ever sold anything other than matchbox cars??)

If I were going to bid, I would contact him ahead of time and drive to Virginia to pick the phones up.

He posted that someone is going to lose a lot of money. Then someone put up some info from his profile and he has 50 posts per day.

I really didn't know.

But quite amazing how he posts 50x a day and I didn't think of him as a nef :p lol. Well now I know. I just assumed he had been here a few years or so.

Holy lord! Who in their right mind would pay that kind of cabbage with a money order?! I've gotten screwed out of a harmless $30 on eBay the first, and last, time I used a MO on eBay.

There's NO way I would pay that kind of money without a way to back out. A credit card might not like such a chargeback, so I think an escrow would be the only way to do business for this sort of auction.

Could you imagine calling up your CC to file a dispute for 15 grand? :D They gave me sh!t for my last $20 chargeback.
