Anyone else going to play? I recently came back for the 12x XP.

I've heard this game decently solo-able. Is that true? I loved KoToR, and this being an MMO made me sad.

But I've heard mostly good things.

you can go from level 1 to max solo, no problem, and unlike most mmos is has a ton of (decent) voice acting and cut scenes, also since you have 8 classes with different main stories it's a game that is worth making new characters I think,

with 12xp bonus currently (from being a sub and buying the new expansion, until december 2) it's very easy and quick to just do the story and skip the other missions...

swtor is the only MMO I enjoy playing, I never tried WoW but form seeing other people playing it I'm not interested (and the fact you can only play if you always pay the subscription), I tried things like Arche Age recently but... no... I'm always going back to swtor.

the bad thing about the 12xp bonus is that low level flashpoints are almost dead, since people get so much more XP by doing class missions, also 55 hm flahpoints are being flooded with under geared players (like with half the rating required)

This is me as well, I maintain that while tor wasn't the revolution people wanted its a better game than most people give it credit for and things have definitely improved since launch. It was pretty obvious by beta this was a SW themed wow-clone (unlike a lot of people I never expected anything else) but its a pretty darned good one.

Yeah, I preordered.

I played the game a while back, about 8 months ago? It was enjoyable at the time. Coming back to it, like, it's really hard to remember what did what because mmo's are stupidly complicated.

It is a good game once through, but I have a hard time playing a different class again given the overlap. It also feels weirdly clunky. Hard to put a finger on it, but the game is just clunky.

So I'm probably going to waste the 12xp bonus.

The last expansion was a lot of fun, but it is a real grind for the gear needed for the high level flashpoints.

I really enjoyed pairing with IRL friends when the game initially came out, but none of my buddies wanted to come back for the Hutt Cartel expansion. The pub groups were not nearly as fun and full of a lot of angry MMO gamers.

Not sure if I will try the new one...

Nope. Still not coming back.

This game had nothing worth paying for, and was too crippled to try to make it work F2P. I doubt it has gotten any better with the expansions.
