Can he really have that in his signature? Maybe I should put "Gay and lesbian hating right-wing Republicans have more in common with Satan, Saddam Hussein, and Barbara Streisand than anyone else"!! That's such a joke if he's allowed to have that as his signature! It's like he's forcing his opinion upon the rest of us, not only that but it's offensive.
 
I'm being serious, I don't think these forums are the place to impose your political/religious views on others unless you're in OT or P&N. His signature is read everywhere he goes. People generally come here to discuss hardware, not religion and politics. I'm being honest when I say I find it offensive. If it doesn't offend you, it might be because you agree with him.
 
Ya know, it just might be! But regardless of whether I agree with him or not, I don't see what's wrong with him saying that. It's his opinion and he's not slandering anything that doesn't get CONSTANTLY SLAUGHTERED on Anandtech anyway. If you want something done about his signature, petition the mods to do something about the countless anti-religion threads that happen way too often on Anandtech. It's not going to happen, but you need to try getting to the root of the issue.

I suppose I can see your point, and I'm surprised to learn that this sort of thing is considered acceptable on a site as reputable as this. If it were a P&N forum it would be different. I'll bet that the 50% of people on these boards that vote for the Democrats would at least be mildly offended by his signature.

When you say there's nothing wrong with his signature, do you mean that it simply conforms to the rules here, or that you don't think it's offensive? I'm telling you, it offends, bothers, and troubles me.
 
If it bothers you that much, have you considered asking him to change it? His signature conforms to the rules, as far as I know. Nobody ever gets banned for slamming the jewish or christian religions here. It's almost welcomed. The mods eventually do something about flamebait subjects (like homosexuality because we have *gasp* homosexual members here) but they won't do a damn thing about bashing religion -even though we have way more religious members here than we do homosexual members here. His signature doesn't bother me because I know it's his opinion and he's welcome to it. If he posts a thread regarding his opinion, the rest of AT pipes up with theirs. That's the nature of Off Topic: opinion.

Religion-bashing has just as much of a chance of getting regulated as a snowball has in hell.
