sh!t sh!t sh!t First time selling quantity on eBay and screwed up!

This is my first time doing a quantity auction and I screwed it up...

I put up an auction for an item, and I set the quantity available to 10. The starting bid was $1. Now I've got some bids, but since there's so much available for each bidder, I'm thinking there's a chance each item could sell for only $1! What should I do?

Man that's why you set the starting bid higher, didn't you consider this scenario when choosing your starting bid? Or was saving $3 or so the only thing on your mind?

Cancel the auction. There's an option that you can select that cancels all the bids and ends the auction. Be sure to select that one.

Of the product you're selling, what fraction of the total available items ending on that day do your 10 dutch items represent?

even if you cancel the auction early, i think that according to ebay regulations, you're obligated to sell to the people who currently have bids on the items.

No

well, then they changed the rules or something or i was just misinformed. 😱

Be patient. How many more days until the auction is over. Things always go for close to there market value on e-bay even if it's in quantity... because half the time people are looking for cheap stuff to reresell on ebay. The last few hours (if you ended your auction on a good day/time) you'll see a bidding war start up if your price hasn't already ramped up by then.

Thanks for all the replies guys. I will be patient and see what happens. If the prices are still really really low at the end I might ask a friend of mine to bail me out 🙂
