Looking for a 2nd monitor, i noticed it uses a PCI graphics card. Anybody try one of thses, would it work with an AGP card on XP pro?

its kinda small imo, but they dont sell for much on ebay??

My guess was cuz you needed the proprietary vid card, some company sells a 300dollar adapter card.. so it seems to me like you would need it.

I have the SGI 1600SW and it's a good display made by Mitsubishi Electrical for SGI. It's the smaller version of the original Apple Cinema Display 22" before Apple switched to LG Philips. You need the SGI Multi-Link Adapter before you can use any normal video card with VGA or DVI.

we use these at work, they are o.k., nothing special.
i like my 2001fp and my 2000fp lcd's better. i am definitely NOT sayng the sgi monitor is bad, on the contrary. but like so many things in life, the price determines the "value" of the purchase. i would get one if the price was right.
