SG S3 on Sprint noticed alot of echo feedback

When plugged in via auxiliary when making phone calls. Seems to be anyone that i've called can hear themselves. I loved having a hands free setup and just plugging my SG S2 into my auxiliary in the car and never had this issue.

What I noticed now is that when I plug it in it's in "headphone mode" which makes me wonder if that has anything to do with it. I can't figure out how to turn this feature off. Any tips?

Other than that i'm extremely satisfied with the device.
 
Also, has anyone done recording with this device yet at live shows/concerts and noticed terrible audio playback?

My SG S2 had terrible audio playback at these type of events.
