Have I played you? I'm skacen. I'm pretty terrible right now, but I just bought a stick a week ago and I was never much of an SF2 player, so I have a long way to go.

it sucks too cause i came home saturday from a bbq drunk and my wife went to sleep so i hopped on here. i was playing like ass.

if you look at replay #12 on the leaderboards (as of now), for the user choshinh, i was hammered when playing that. it sucks cause i woulda had a high replay if i won that. if you watch the replay, you can watch me miss my ultra juggle 2x, and one was in the last round which woulda put the opponent down to like 10% health or so.

heh since you've had experience with me Dangerer, i'm sure you will notice where I miss quite a few combos.
 
I like Balrog too, but I can't pull off any combos on him or any other character. If I was in a tourney I'd be like the first opponent from NES Punchout, except I wouldn't stand a remote chance of getting back up 🙂
 
Dayam. I'm gonna get my ass handed to me. I haven't been on since I'm not down in school. In the coming weeks, we'll play and I'll get my ass handed to me. 😀
 
can anyone recommend any PC game controller pads that I could use for this game?? tried keyboard style but its not the same as the controller. Thanks!

I have a Logitech Playstation style game pad but I've stopped using it and switched to keyboard for SF4. There's just no way you're going to do supers/ultras consistently with a gamepad, especially for charge characters. Keyboard takes a lot of getting used to, but when you do it's almost as good as an arcade stick IMO.
 
Sureshot324 - since you have gone back to using the keyboard / what's your controll button setup?

ASD and spacebar to jump. I found it too hard to charge down/up with W as jump

numpad 7-8-9 for punches
numpad 4-5-6 for kicks
numpad 0 for 3 punches
numpad enter for 3 kicks


For charge characters it's great, probably better than a stick. As for other characters, I can do a dragon punch motion very consistently. Quarter/half/double quarters are a bit harder becuase you have to make sure you don't miss any diagonals. I haven't even tried using Zangief with keyboard 😛
 
Is there a keyboard-style controller that beats a keyboard for 'easyness'? Just curious if it would work well with SFIV.
