SFF w/ 7800 GTX 512?

well im looking at the tomshardware/anandtech ps consumption, looks like it could be feasible? I mean the other shuttle with SLI can run 2 7800 gtx supposidly.

I have a SN25P, but I am not sure that it could handle a fully loaded box and the GTX 512. I mean if you only have 1 drive, I think it can do it, but with 2 or 3 HDs that is a good question

I'm pretty sure it can handle it, remember that?s 283 watts for the entire system, not the 7800GTX alone. Secondly Wattage isn?t everything, efficiency matters too and the Shuttle PSU's are quite efficient and they are able to handle what normal 500W PSU's can.

u sure thats 283 for the whole system and not just the card? Also if I get it, im prob just gonna have a raptor drive with 1 7800gtx 512 and a 4000+.

You should be fine, I run a prescott, ati tv tuner, x800xl and harddrive with my 250 without a hickup. It's been through many hours of bf2 with no problems.

It says in the article it's 283 watts measured at the wall (i.e. psu input). So actually, the output wattage needed to run the entire computer will be below 283 watts since a psu is not 100% efficient. I'm actually surprised the number is so low.

If fitting the 512 card in the sn25p is a problem, do you think it would be better to get the SLI sn26p for more graphic card space? (I probably wont run SLI in a shuttle, so that 2nd slot is just going to be used for space)
