They look cool. Are they really an option for a gaming pc. can they use regular motherboards, video cards, harddrives and power supplies. or do i have to get sff specialized componants.

Generally a SFF case is going to come with a motherboard and PSU in it.

If you're going to be using a lot of high heat components it's probably not a good idea to use a small case.

shuttles come with a case, mobo, psu, and cpu fan heatsink ( ice unit ).

the g series holds two hd's and the p series holds 3 i think.

they can hold almost every video card including 7800gtx as long as its not dual slot in that case you might have to cut the case with g series with the p series i have seen people use artic silencers and zalman heatsinks inside there case completely. there is a newer shuttle out that supports SLi so shuttles arent really stopped by alot.

sounds pretty awesome.

i didnt see too many people using them out here. didnt know if they had any major disadvantages. the size and unique look is nice.

im planning on a 7800 gtx, seagate 7200.8 250gb, 2gigs corsair value ram, benq 1640 dvd drive, maybe a tv tuner card, maybe a 2nd harddrive.

dunno if its possible in a sff rig.
