Is there any SFF case (prefferably shuttle) that an x1900 will fit into and possibly have room for a sound card?

TIA

Shuttles aren't just a case - they are proprietary barebones systems including PSU, mobo, cooling solution, etc. Whether or not they can fit a normal vid card, etc. is something for you to check. I'm sure Shuttle has a pre-sale tech support line.

If you want something that you can customize the way you want, get an Ultra MicroFly case or similar - the microFly is an inch or so deeper than the similar X-QPack which is why I suggested it.

Yeah thats what i was planning on the xqpack or the microfly, so can the x1900 fit in either of those cases?

You should be able to tell just by looking at pix. The card is about 10.5", a typical mobo is 10" deep and you want about 11" clearance for the card and the connectors (if they are off the end of the card like they all stupidly seem to be). Or you can check the FAQ on the ULTRA web site. Or maybe someone here that has a microFly (there are quite a few) will measure the card clearance for you.

I'm building a system in a microfly right now, if you want I can take some pics of how much room there is for a graphics card... It looks like there would be plenty of room for a large card:)

I've seen threads about people putting 1900XTX cards in Qpacks so it must fit. The real question is about future upgrades like the 8800GTX. If ATI makes their new card as long as the 8800GTX SFF cases will need to fit those too somehow.

If you dont mind that would be great. I think the x1900 will fit no problem seeing as zepper said it is 10.5 and the case has a depth of 15, so there is plenty of clearance there. But can you give me a measurement on how much heighth there is for a aftermarket HSF. I have the Blue Orb 2, its not that tall but id like to be sure instead of guessing.

Skott: At this moment im not really concerned about future upgrades, the x1900 will last me for quite some time, and by then hopefully the better cards will be smaller

Oh, and if you get a microFly, get one without PSU and you can get one of the new Silverstone PSUs for it. They have SC (short cable) versions for compact cases like the microFly, so you won't have all that excess cable to bother with...
