sff heatsink fans

Anyone know any good sff heatsink fans, LGA775? The stock on my e6600 needs replacing but I don't know any quality ones that will fit.

You could try a Big Shuriken. It's about 58mm in height. A little wide (it goes over the tops of some of my RAM), but it's quiet and effective in my HTPC. I wouldn't necessarily go with this one if you were going to overclock, but it is quieter and a little better than stock (at least compared to the short, stocky Athlon II X2 heatsink).

+1 on big shruiken. Scythe also makes the shruiken, which is a little smaller (100mm fan v. 120mm fan, but about the same profile). In my SG05, for example, I could not fit the Big Shruiken.

Weird. From what I've read, the Shuriken is about 1cm taller than the Big Shuriken.

Height is definitely the issue for me. I bought some Cooler Master unit without doing the research and it was miles too tall for my Ultra ULT33117 MicroFly MicroATX (without the windows): http://www.amazon.com/Ultra-ULT33117.../dp/B000FITKJ4.

Which HSF did you initially buy?

I definitely could see height being an issue in the MicroFly. I built a computer, way back, in a QPack. The front-to-back crossbeams could easily get in the way of any tower hsf and possibly larger blow-down style hsfs.

It would hit on this particular mitx board - Gigabye H55N USB3. It's not the HSF that's the problem, just the make of the motherboard.

I see. I was worried about that too when I picked up my Big Shuriken, but I just took a shot in the dark. I knew I'd be okay with height; for width, I knew it would clear the RAM because my RAM didn't have heat spreaders, but I wasn't sure about the motherboard heatsink... I kind of had to eye that last one and just hope it would work.
